Alyssa's first practice was this evening. She wasn't too happy with the lack of pink colors in her uniform. She did really well dribbling and passing the ball.
Today was Alyssa's first day of Kindergarten at Haven's Elementary in Piedmont. http://www.piedmont.k12.ca.us/havens/abo.html
She had her Hello Kitty outfit all ready to go. She did really well, no clinging to mommy, no crying. Here are a few shots below.
I caught one before she woke up, clothes all ready to go.
She had her eggs on the Hello Kitty plate and OJ in the Hello Kitty cup.
Mom and Alyssa getting to school. Notice the Hello Kitty Backpack which contains the Hello Kitty lunch box, helllo kitty pens, pencils......all B-Day presents - This Hello Kitty thing is getting out of control...... :)
Her teacher is Ms. Vanessa Miller, shown in the blue sweater with Klara as the class assistant (kneeling and talking to Alyssa in the center photo below).
Here's a collection of videos:
In class today they learned about the class room, had a snack break and then had time to do what ever they wanted. During free time, Alyssa wrote her alphabet and drew a few flowers for art work.
Sabina and I picked up Alyssa at the afterschool care on the school grounds. She had a wonderful day. She likes her teacher Ms. Miller very, very, very, very much. She made a paper crown and a paper bird today.
Alyssa has her first soccer practice this Thursday. http://www.piedmontsoccer.org/inde.php
We went to sports authority to get some cleats and shin guards...Alyssa was not too happy about it. No pink cleats available. She doesn't yet know she wont be wearing a dress to practice. We'll see how she does later this week.
After staying up late and talking, talking, talking, Elise Wilson and Alyssa have some chocolate pancakes early Saturday morning.
Danny Winkler and family came over for dinner and a playdate with the Wilson's tonight. Danny and I finally played pool for the first time in years.
Alyssa's friends Elise Wilson came over in the early afternoon on Friday to have a playdate and sleepover. Alyssa and Elise gave a small show playing "Gallop Pony" as Elise danced and sang for us. The video above is a perfromance later in the evening when the Winkler's came over as well.
